Miami Heat Top Toronto Raptors in OT

The Miami Heat came into this game on a 2 game winning streak and winning 8 of their last 10 games.  The Raptors came into this game hot on a 7 game winning streak.  Most of those 7 wins were against subpar teams but there were a couple of impressive wins in the mix including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Utah Jazz.

This was a fairly close game throughout and while the Miami Heat did lead the majority of the game,  the Raptors were sticking right there with them for the most part.  There were 9 lead changes in this game and biggest lead of the entire game was 11 points by Miami,  which is what they ended up winning by.

As you can see,  the Raptors were able to snag the lead at the very end of the 4th quarter,  but Miami was able to tie it up and push the game into overtime,  and from there Miami really took control.

The Heat were led in scoring by both Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson with 22 points each.  Butler got his 22 shooting 7 of 16 from the field and 2 of 4 from downtown.  Butler had a triple double with 13 rebounds,  12 assists,  and a steal.  Robinson scored his 22 points shooting 8 of 11 from the field and 6 of 9 from three point range.  Robinson added 2 rebounds,  1 assist,  and 1 block.

Bam Adebayo had a good night for Miami as well with 18 points on 7 of 13 shooting from the field.  He added 7 rebounds,  an assist,  and a block.

The Raptors were led in scoring by Norman Powell who had 23 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field and 4 of 8 shooting from downtown.  Powell added 8 rebounds,  an assist,  and a steal.

Fred VanFleet was next up for Toronto with 19 points on 5 of 16 shooting from the field and 3 of 9 from three point range.  VanFleet added 1 board,  6 assists,  and 3 steals.

The Miami Heat win their 3rd straight game and advance to 15-5 on the season while the Raptors fall to 15-5 as well.
