The first two quarters of this game were actually very competitive and New Orleans was looking very good to start.  The Pelicans led by as many as 11 points in the first half,  but once the Mavericks took the lead a little over halfway through the 2nd,  they never relinquished the lead again.

As you can see Dallas exploded in the 2nd half and really ran way with this one continuing the woes of the New Orleans Pelicans and their fans.  With so much young talent on the Pelicans the future looks bright,  but the present is looking dim,  and I know they can’t wait for the debut of Zion Williamson to help turn around this team.

The Mavericks were led in scoring by none other than Luka Doncic who had 33 points on 9 of 18 shooting from the field and 5 of 12 from downtown.  Doncic had a double double with 18 rebounds and 5 assists.

Seth Curry was 2nd in scoring for the Mavericks with 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field and efficient 5 of 7 shooting from downtown.  Maybe Seth has been taking some pointers from his big brother Steph!  Curry also had 4 boards and an assist to go along with hot handed 3 point shooting night.

The Pelicans were led in scoring by Brandon Ingram who started the game off red hot but then tapered off to finish.  Ingram had 24 points on 8 of 16 shooting from the field and 1 of 3 from three point range.  Ingram added 5 boards,  6 assists,  3 steals,  and a block.

Jrue Holiday was next up for the Pelicans with 18 points on 8 of 18 shooting from the field and 0/3 from downtown.  Holiday added 4 rebounds,  4 assists,  and 2 blocks.

The Mavericks win their 3rd straight game and 8 of their last 9 to advance to 14-6 on the season while the Pelicans fall to 6-15.
