Luka Posts Career High in Duel Against DeRozan and The Spurs

Luka Doncic is one of the most exciting young players in the league and he has been having an incredible season.  He already became the youngest player in NBA history to post a 30 point 15 assist triple double in the same game the LeBron James became the oldest player in NBA history to do that exact same thing.

Tonight Luka broke his career high in scoring 42 points on 14 of 27 shooting from the field and 5 of 13 from downtown.  He had a triple double with 11 rebounds and 12 assists and became only the 2nd player in NBA history to record a 40 point triple double before the age of 21.  The only other player to do this?  You guessed it.  Lebron.

Dorian Finney-Smith also had a great game for Dallas scoring 22 points on 8 of 10 shooting from the field and 3 of 4 from three point range.  He added 5 boards,  3 assists,  a steal,  and a block.

This was a close game throughout and Luka was dueling with DeMar DeRozan who had 36 points on an efficient 14 of 20 shooting from the field.  He also snagged 8 rebounds,  dished 4 assists,  and grabbed a steal.  Although the game was within reach for the Spurs,  The Dallas Mavericks led the entire duration of the game.

The Mavericks advance to 8-5 on the season while the Spurs fall to 5-9 after starting the season 3-0.
