LeMarcus Aldridge Explodes to Lift Spurs Over Thunder

The San Antonio Spurs started the season off hot at 4-0 but came into this game on a 3 game losing streak.  The Thunder were 3-4 coming into this game on a 2-game winning streak.

LaMarcus Aldridge absolutely dominated this game with 39 points off an incredibly accurate 19/23 shooting from the field.  That’s %82.6!  On top of his dominant and efficient night of scoring he also added 6 boards,  4 assists,  2 steals,  and a block.  39 points for a player like Aldridge is like 60 for Harden since LaMarcus isn’t known for his three.

Dejounte Murray also had a very impressive night and he was only 2 rebounds away from a triple double finishing with 17 points,  8 rebounds,  and 10 assists.  Murray also snagged one steal.

Demar Derozan had a fairly quiet night scoring 16 off 7/13 shooting with 6 rebounds,  9 assists,  and a steal.

Danilo Gallinari led the Oklahoma City Thunder in scoring with 27 points on an impressive 7/10 shooting from the field and 5/6 from three.  He also added 5 rebounds,  1 assist,  and 2 steals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 21 points on 9/18 shooting with 1 rebound and 3 assists.

CP3 scored 19 on 7/14 shooting from the field.  He added 2 rebounds,  5 assists,  and a steal.

There were 9 lead changes throughout this game but once The Spurs took control 1/4 of the way through the 3rd quarter,  they never looked back.

The Spurs move to 5-3 on the season while the Thunder fall to 3-5.
