Lakers Win In Tight Game Against Suns

Lakers vs Suns November 12 2019

The Los Angeles Lakers were coming off their first loss of the season since the home opener falling to the Toronto Raptors.  The Suns were coming off an impressive win against the Brooklyn Nets continuing their surprisingly strong start to their season.

This was a nail biter of a game that had 29 lead changes!  It was probably the best game that I have watched all season long.  The Lakers managed to come out on top 123-115 with a final score that gives no true insight to the actual competitiveness of this game.

Check out this visual graphic of the flow of the game thanks to NBA.com:

The Lakers were led in scoring by Anthony Davis who had 24 points on 9/17 shooting from the field.  He added 12 boards,  4 assists,  2 steals,  and a block.

Lebron James started the night off slowly offensively getting everyone else involved.  He finished with 19 points on 8/18 shooting from the field.  Lebron also added 11 assists and 7 rebounds.

Rajón Rondo returned in this game and looked good only scoring 5 points but adding 6 rebounds,  7 assists,  and some solid defense.

Kyle Kuzma had 23 points on 9 of 16 shooting from the field,  and added 4 rebounds and a steal.  Kuzma really got going in this one and he is one of those players that can get hot quick!

Danny Green (14),  Dwight Howard (12),  and JaVale McGee (11) were also in double digit scoring for the Lakers.

The Suns were led in scoring by both Devin Booker and Ricky Rubio who both had 21 points.  Booker shot 9/18 from the field and contributed 3 boards,  9 assists,  and a block.  Rubio’s 21 came off 8/17 from the field and he added 4 rebounds and 10 assists.

Aron Baynes had 20 points for the Suns as well with an impressive 4/6 from three and 6/10 overall.  He added 6 boards and 3 assists.

Dario Saric also got things going for the Suns scoring 18 points shooting 7 of 11 from the field.  Saric also had 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

Although the Suns looked great again with their depth and three point shooting looking impressive,  it wasn’t enough to take down The Lakers.

The Lakers advance to 8-2 on the season while the Suns fall to 6-4.
