Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony Towns Both Ejected After Tussle

Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony Towns Fight

Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76ers have both flourished during the first 3 games of the season,  and one common element from both teams is the elite big man.  The Timberwolves have Karl Anthony Towns who has grown into an elite Center in the league,  and The 76ers with Joel Embiid.

These two took a little extra contact a little too far and ended up getting into a physical altercation.

Punches were thrown,  but I don’t think any landed.  Embiid seemed to have got the better of KAT to me,  and ended up throwing him into the ground and finally placing a submission choke hold onto towns for a solid 8 seconds before the fight was split up.

The benches were cleared,  and the emotions were high as both teams wanted to advance to 4-0.

Philadelphia ended up winning the game 117-95 and was led in scoring by Embiid with 19 points.  The 76ers had a well rounded attack with 6 players scoring a dozen or more points.  The other 5 include Tobias Harris,  Al Horford,  Josh Richardson,  Ben Simmons,  and Furkan Korkmaz.

Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague led the attack for Minnesota with 19 and 15 points respectively.

I will update you on the suspensions and fines when they are eventually handed out by the NBA.
