76ers Look For 3rd Straight Win Against Nuggets

Nuggets vs 76ers December 10 2019

The 76ers came into this game on a 2 game road winning streak beating the brakes off the Cavs in Cleveland and beating the Raptors in Toronto.  The Nuggets have been going through a rough patch coming into this game losing 2 straight games to Boston and Brooklyn and losing 4 out of their last 5 with their only win coming against the Knicks.

This was a great game that had some back and forth action with 7 lead changes and 5 times tied.  The Nuggets led by as many as 7 points during the 1st quarter and by as many as 5 during the 3rd while the 76ers led by as many as 14 during the 2nd quarter.  The Nuggets led the majority of the 1st quarter and 3-4 minutes during the 3rd quarter while the 76ers controlled the remainder of the game.

Here is a visual breakdown of the game flow thanks to

The 76ers were led in scoring by Joel Embiid who had a double double with 22 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 8 of 18 from the floor and 0 of 3 from downtown.  Embiid also added 6 assists,  2 steals,  and a block.

Tobias Harris was next up for the 76ers with 20 points on 7 of 17 shooting from the field and 2 of 4 from downtown.  Harris also contributed 7 boards,  4 assists,  1 steal, and 2 blocks for Philly.

Denver was led in scoring by Will Barton who had a game high 26 points on 10 of 19 shooting from the field and 2 of 7 from three point range.  Barton also added 7 rebounds,  7 assists,  2 steals,  and 2 blocks to his impressive offensive showing while only committing 2 turnovers.

Nikola Jokic was next up for the Nuggets with 15 points on 7 of 13 shooting from the field and 1 of 4 shooting from downtown.  Jokic had a double double with 7 rebounds,  11 assists,  and a block.

The Nuggets recent struggles continued in this game and I really feel like Nikola Jokic is going to have to into better shape to start contributing more on offense for the Nuggets to continue to be a successful playoff team in the West.

The 76ers win their 3rd straight game and advance to 18-7 on the season while the Nuggets slide to 14-8 after losing their 3rd straight game.
